These organisms thrive in environments involving extreme heat, radiation, pressure, acidity, salinity, or lack of oxygen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the most famous examples is <strong>Deinococcus radiodurans<\/strong>, a bacterium capable of surviving intense radiation and severe DNA damage. Its extraordinary DNA repair systems allow it to recover even after conditions that would be lethal to most organisms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In deep-sea hydrothermal vents, thermophilic archaea such as <strong>Pyrolobus fumarii<\/strong> can survive temperatures above 100\u00b0C by using sulfur-based chemical reactions instead of sunlight for energy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Some microbes thrive in extremely salty environments.
